There’s a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! for sale in Port Hope for $1200. It’s a bit rough, but it’s been kept out of the elements and it looks to be pretty much all there.

That is very lovely but very rough.

Considering it’s an old Italian car in the rust belt, this can probably be referred to as “mint condition” with a straight face.

Same shape my 944 was in when it was dragged out of hiding. It’s more than salvageable.

You realize $1200 CAD is like $912 US, right?

Admit it, you just want the price to be low enough for LeMons eligibility.

I would have bought a 944. Then I learned about the timing belt interval and how much a clutch costs up here.

The timing belt thing isn’t a huge deal, even if you daily the car. It’s relatively inexpensive to acquire the parts, and the job can be easily accomplished in a couple of hours. The clutch, is a nightmare. Luckily my ‘84 has no issues with its original clutch, knock on wood.

The 944 is a great entry sports car, and also a great car for people to learn how to work on cars, and just tinker in general.
